 MY QUIZZES: SMART LEARNING |
XLPrep's MY QUIZZES module provides a powerful and user-friendly interface designed to quiz you on the most common SAT questions.
• Navigate by Topic: As shown in the image to the right, navigation within this mode is organized by subject matter, and test question type. This allows you to quickly zero in on the topics you most need to study.
• Adaptive Level of Difficulty: This module optimizes your learning by organizing over 600 test questions into series. Each series includes one easy, one medium, and one hard question with the easiest questions presented first. As the questions become more difficult, they build off the previous question so that each series is like a mini lesson. There are 6 series of questions for each subject found on the SAT. Once you have gone through all 6 series, you can repeat the series because the module uses new question and answer variables each time a question is repeated. This means that an almost unlimited number of questions are available to you.
• Verified Learning: XLPrep's quiz section provides a revolutionary learning technology called "Verified Learning". A given question type is repeated in many different ways by randomizing the variables associated with each question. Upon answering the question, the student is provided with the XLPrep.com preferred answer strategy. The student can then "re-take" a similar version of the SAT question but with a new set of question values. With this technology, this cycle is repeated until the student can solve a question correctly thus "verifying" that he or she has learned the strategy behind answering the question. This technique is what makes XLPrep.com so powerful and different from basic tutoring and other online test preparation sites. Only the "Verified Learning" methodology ensures you are truly learning and understanding the concepts taught. "Verified Learning" ultimately provides you with an efficient use of your studying time and energy.
• Scoring:
At anytime while you are in quiz mode, you can check your score. The overall score display shows you:
- the percentage of questions you answered correctly for a particular subject on the SAT
- how many questions you answered correctly out of the number attempted for each difficulty level
- the average amount of time you spent answering questions for each subject
The percentage can help you determine the subject that you need to study most. The number of correct answers for each level of difficulty gives you more detail on where you need to focus your efforts. Perhaps only the difficult questions are stumping you, and you should skip easy questions when you study in the future. The quiz mode allows you to focus on questions at one level of difficulty or at all three levels of difficulty and can be adjusted by going into “options”.
The detailed score output shows you how much time you spent on each question attempt and your best time for the questions you answered correctly. This display provides the raw data that is compiled for the overall score display.
