How we are different
XLPrep.com was created in September 2003 because the founder knew there had to be a better way to study for tests. He understood that with the Internet studying could be much more efficient and targeted. Most test prep websites do not leverage the power of the Internet, provide little to no interactivity, and are often built by copying and pasting text from books into a website. They use a question=>answer methodology (a student is asked one or a series of questions in test format) and do not provide a true learning experience. In contrast, XLPrep.com uses a question=>answer=>strategy=>learn methodology. After answering a question, the student is given a step by step strategy on how to answer it and is then given the opportunity to repeat a similar version of the question, but with different question and answer variables. This repetition forces the student to think through the concepts learned during previous attempts in order to obtain the correct answer and move onto another question. While students eventually learn using traditional test prep methods, XLPrep.com quickly targets areas where learning must take place and allows students to prepare more efficiently and more thoroughly for test day.
Another area where XLPrep.com differentiates itself is its compatibility with academic curricula. XLPrep.com was designed to complement and reinforce high school SAT Math, Reading Comprehension, and Writing concepts taught in the classroom. Dramatic results have been observed when using XLPrep.com during Math labs and as homework assignments. Incorporating XLPrep.com into the curriculum is also convenient because teachers can monitor all of their students' progress via the Teacher Monitoring Module.

XLPrep.com staff and contributors are highly qualified.
